Culture system Vero cell culture
Preparation Infected cells and culture supernatant are harvested and concentrated by ultracentrifugation. Following sonication and clarification the suspension is again concentrated by centrifugation. The resulting antigen preparation consists of a high concentration of virus and viral components as well as some cellular material suspended in glycine buffer, pH 9.5.
Inactivation Beta-propiolactone treatment. Inactivity is confirmed by attempted growth under original culture conditions. Since no procedure can guarantee absolute sterility, the reagent should be handled with appropriate safety precautions.

Protein concentration Lot specific, specified in mg/mL. Determined by Bradford assay (Biorad) using BSA as standard.
Analysis By ELISA
Storage -20°C to -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
