Virion\Serion, founded in 1978, is a company that has evolved over the last 40 years into a well-known and respected IVD manufacturer with one of the largest infectious disease portfolios for diagnosis of viral, bacterial, fungal and parasitic diseases in the world. Based on our extensive expertise in manufacturing of high quality antigens, Virion\Serion has also become a major supplier of raw materials to the diagnostic industry. Our goal is to continue to stand up for our core attributes - competence, trust and cooperation - and to develop them further in the interests of our customers.
 

Over the years, two core competences of Virion\Serion have emerged.

On the one hand the development, production and marketing of high quality in vitro diagnostics (IVD) for infectious diseases and on the other hand the supply of infectious disease raw materials, including antigens, antibodies and plasma products. In order to focus on these core competences and to communicate this clearly and transparently to the outside world, two divisions have been created: SERION Diagnostics und SERION Immunologics.
